I'm a cosplayer (someone who dresses up as characters from anime, video games, sci-fi, etc.) and all-around geek. Here you'll find my costumes, modeling, travel blogs, and links to various shenanigans on the web.

Yes, the title of this entry is the song Rob and I danced to at our wedding. It’s also a good title to describe what happened at our ceremony in Red Rock Canyon! We had some freak thunderstorms the day of. Luckily I was smart enough not to fuss with my hair and at the last minute decided to pull it back off of my face. Good thing I did! There was epic wind and the rain and lightning reached us just as we were trying to get back to the cars. So anyway, here’s some photos. I’m so behind on life right now!
October 05, 2010 - It’s only forever, not long at all.
I got married on Saturday, October 2nd. The whole week had a 0% chance of precipitation. And yet for some reason it rained the morning before, and then the day off there were random thunder storms. In Las Vegas. As we drove out to Red Rock Canyon (where we had the tiny ceremony) we could see the storm clouds approaching. As my friends helped me walk along the rocky terrain in my heels, my poofy dress nearly caused me to fly away as it caught the crazy winds. Right as we finished, the thunder and lightning were right near us and we had to rush back to the car as the rain started. So all in all it was pretty awesome. It was a perfect temperature the whole weekend. And I was smart enough to pull my hair back for the ceremony because I knew how windy it could get out there (and even then I had hair stuck to my face before I was halfway there). And the whole time I was just laughing.
Our first dance was to David Bowie’s “As The World Falls Down” from Labyrinth. Because I’m that geeky.
I have one photo so far. I’ll post more when I get them. Tonight is our first night at home with no house guests, so I am hoping to finally relax a little.
I wanted to write about this while it was still fresh in my brain (the brain that should be focused on my wedding this weekend). I’ve met a lot of people I think are pretty awesome. Amazing actors, talented artists, etc. But I’ve never really had a moment where I felt completely starstruck. These awesome, amazing people are just like you or me except way more talented or famous. And that’s cool. But recently I’ve been in contact with someone who is not only a personal hero of mine, but also had a hand in so many different parts of my childhood. Okay, that sounds kind of dirty. And I don’t mean this in some sort of bragging way. I’m really just super-psyched that Paul Dini has been nice enough to talk to me.
Don’t know who Paul Dini is? Google him. Now punch yourself in the face for not knowing who Paul Dini is.
He’s agreed to an interview for Fandomania. And never have I found it this difficult to come up with questions that aren’t just things like “Do you know how awesome you are?” Yeah. I know. Me = huge dork. I’ll let you know when that goes up.
And speaking of awesome people, check out the Fandomania podcast with Team Unicorn. (Darn people and their darn ability to do darn things I wanna get darn done!)
September 19, 2010 - The very delayed Dragon*Con 2010 post
So my wedding is in less than two weeks, work is less than appealing, and I’m pretty much creatively blocked at every turn. So frustrating! So while I’m sitting here wishing I could do something productive with my life, I’ll give you a couple photos of my costumes from D*C. You will see my adorable nephews that I dressed up as Luke and Han,the Ironman Ironettes group I was a part of, and my impromptu Claire outfit from Lost.
