Space Battleship Yamato

This costume was inspired by my wacky crew of friends from the WCS who sang the opening theme to BSY at karaoke this year in Tokyo. I used a ton of different reference from figures, art, and the actual show because it's all very inconsistent. The bodysuit I bought off of ebay and then ripped apart and put back together an then added the detail, because even an extra small is too big and fits all wrong! At first I was going to use a darker blonde for her hair, but the color looked horrible on me. Thank you to Rob for helping me with my gun holster! The prop gun is the funniest part as I made it out of parts of a 70's toy gun, a paint bottle cap, and a boba straw all hot-glued together.
