August 12, 2009 - Jetlag is upon us.

Yes, the dreaded jetlag monster has struck. But that means on my off hours I can do things like upload my trip photos. Check them out here.

One very epic thing you will see is the official Gainax Evangelion Karaoke room. When Julia and I heard we were going to go, we both peed a little in our pants. Japan was very good to us!

I sadly must sell one of the awesome things I bought while I was there. Ayanami Rei Headphones - please help me find them a good home, because they are too awesome to be wasted sitting on a shelf.

I smell another update coming soon as long as I get my jetlag under control.

August 07, 2009 - In my Japants.

So I snagged a tiny bit of internet time to put up a couple of photos and a video. So make sure to check out my VBlog.

The taping of the show (CosCosPurePure) on Tuesday went really well. They wanted us to be as weird and otaku as possible, and we did not disappoint! It won’t be airing until sometime next month, and I’m not sure if it will be posted online or not.

We’ve been eating and hanging out with our bestest cosplay friends. And today was extra-special because I got to go watch Evangelion 2.0 in the theater! It was amazing. Tomorrow is our last full day already! I’m always sad to leave, but my wallet will be relieved! And of course I am missing Rob something fierce.

July 29, 2009 - Space Attack!

Thank you to the very awesome San Smith for my rad new art! I’ll have a banner up for her shortly. I’m still working on the colors and things a bit, but for now I have to get back to packing for Japan. I leave tomorrow! So if you see anything really broken with the site, let me know.

Unfortunately we have been too busy with work to get to photo-shooting, but when I get back from Japan I will have a new costume up, I swear. Sayonara!

July 28, 2009 - Rainn Wilson? Now I’ve seen it all.

First, a shout out to Rainn Wilson who took the time to look at this website. With his eyes. And then told me about it. So, here’s to you and to the Dwight bobble-head that sits on my desk. You are a mongoose among snakes.

And if you are noticing I’m sounding a bit delirious, it is because OF COURSE I would get sick 48 hours before having to get on a plane and be on my way to Japan. I’m hoping if I just get some rest today that I’ll be better and fit for the crazy travel. I was even having dreams last night that were merging my upcoming trip with my last trip in Russia and Germany. It was pretty unsettling. I even dreamt I forgot my business cards, probably because Kyle specifically reminded me not to forget them.

I am going to try really hard to get a new costume up before I go. But it’s looking like I won’t be able to until I get back. Sorry guys! Work and health comes first. There is always the chance that Kyle and I will have some time tomorrow, but it’s only a chance. Right now I need to focus on getting better and getting my costumes and things packed for Thursday.

I should have at least something to update before I’m gone to Japanland. And of course I’ll try to update with some photos while I’m there. For now I need to get back to chugging limeade.

July 23, 2009 - Total Bummer, Happy Changes

I just found out that someone I used to know took one of my costumes and claimed it as their own making. It really bums me out, but there’s no reason to start anything about it. I guess I should be flattered that other people want to claim my work as theirs.

Before I leave for Japan next week, I’m hoping to have a big site update featuring some brand new art done by an awesome friend of mine, and maybe even a new costume if I have the time. I’m super excited about the idea of having my website looking much more spiffy. I’m going to try to update this blog here more often as well.

This weekend I’ll be heading to LA to hit up the fabric district in my troublesome fabric search and hang out with my favorite twins. I think we might also be going to the Magic Castle (the private club, not Disney). I wish I had the time/money to be at SDCC! But I can’t complain too much when I’m going to Japan next week.

So look forward to at least one more update before I invade Tokyo again. I’m sure I’ll have tons of silly photos and stories when I get back.
