November 11, 2010 - Is it getting better, or do you feel the same?
I’m actually feeling better today! My cough is still bad at night but I’m definitely more functional now. Last night I finally got to take Rob for his birthday dinner. I ate a huge steak and mac and cheese and meatballs and cheesecake… I am still surprised at myself!
This weekend I’m going to be in a music video that is filming here in Vegas. It sounds fun and I could use the extra cash to fund the crazy project I’m working on.
OffBeatBride posted my wedding stuff so check that out. I am happy to answer questions about it.
And here’s the only photo I have of me at MCM Expo in London so far. Thanks Johan!
November 08, 2010 - Health Fail
Well, it’s day 7 (or more accurately day 15) of being sick. There are demons in my lungs that have taken up residence. So I’m really behind on everything. I was hoping to have so much more to talk about. Like my trip to MCM Expo in London which I don’t have much to post about because I didn’t have a working camera with me. And the person that did can’t give me photos now. But I will have a couple of photos of my Emma Frost costume eventually. And I have to get back to the UK so I can actually do something there that isn’t a convention (not that you convention guys weren’t super nice!).
The big (stupid) project I’m working on at the moment is going to be slowed because of this, but I can’t seem to get healthy right now. It’s really frustrating. I get so annoyed when I want to work on things and it’s just physically not possible for me to do. But there’s nothing I can do except rest a lot now so I get better faster. Onward, to a future without fluid in my lungs!
Also Happy Birthday to my husband. <3<3<3
October 22, 2010 - Sorry I cannot hear you, I’m kinda busy.
Leaving for London soon to go to MCM Expo as a guest. Holy crap. I am so not prepared because I’ve had way too much work to do. But I’m still really excited! I’d be more visibly excited if the weather wasn’t making my allergies terrorize me.
In case you don’t follow me around on Facebook or Twitter, my interview with Paul Dini is up on Fandomania. And the first of the Star Wars Mad Libs reading was posted on Youtube.
Other than that I’ve been laughing at some crazy woman photoshopping photos of me to look fat, been trying to pull every resource I have to get a hilarious project done, went to the Fallout: New Vegas release party last weekend, and just been trying to keep pace with life. Oh, and I just got a random booth babe gig offer for CES here in Vegas. But hey, at least it’s interesting!
October 18, 2010 - As The World Falls Down
Yes, the title of this entry is the song Rob and I danced to at our wedding. It’s also a good title to describe what happened at our ceremony in Red Rock Canyon! We had some freak thunderstorms the day of. Luckily I was smart enough not to fuss with my hair and at the last minute decided to pull it back off of my face. Good thing I did! There was epic wind and the rain and lightning reached us just as we were trying to get back to the cars. So anyway, here’s some photos. I’m so behind on life right now!
October 05, 2010 - It’s only forever, not long at all.
I got married on Saturday, October 2nd. The whole week had a 0% chance of precipitation. And yet for some reason it rained the morning before, and then the day off there were random thunder storms. In Las Vegas. As we drove out to Red Rock Canyon (where we had the tiny ceremony) we could see the storm clouds approaching. As my friends helped me walk along the rocky terrain in my heels, my poofy dress nearly caused me to fly away as it caught the crazy winds. Right as we finished, the thunder and lightning were right near us and we had to rush back to the car as the rain started. So all in all it was pretty awesome. It was a perfect temperature the whole weekend. And I was smart enough to pull my hair back for the ceremony because I knew how windy it could get out there (and even then I had hair stuck to my face before I was halfway there). And the whole time I was just laughing.
Our first dance was to David Bowie’s “As The World Falls Down” from Labyrinth. Because I’m that geeky.
I have one photo so far. I’ll post more when I get them. Tonight is our first night at home with no house guests, so I am hoping to finally relax a little.
