I just had to turn down filming with David Spade because my trip for Atlanta is already booked. :( I wish I could go! Sorry Mr.Spade! Look me up when you are in Vegas, we’ll hang out.

Well, I’m recovering from Otakon today. I’ve slept a lot, but not enough yet. Thanks to everyone who came up to the booth to say hi. I was trapped back there with no means of escape! And thanks to Dorian for helping out so I could do things like pee and send you for Mt. Dew. I leave bright and early for Japan on Wednesday, so I must get back to recovering from this weekend. Otakon Day Zero

Well, this weekend isn’t starting perfectly. I forgot my ID and Credit Card at home in Rob’s gym bag from going to the gym the other day. Luckily, Rob is the best boyfriend in the universe and managed to drive home, grab them, and come back leaving me 10 minutes to spare for boarding the plane.

I was hoping the hotel might have a gym as to not mess up my routine too much, but I think lugging two 50lb bags around the Baltimore Convention Center equals at least a couple hours at the gym, if not more.

Otakon marks 10 years of conventions and cosplay for me. I can’t say it’s all been rainbows and sunshine, but it lead me to where I am today and that makes it all worth it.

Oh, and within an hour of being at the airport today, I was asked 3 separate times how old I was by the airport staff. They kept assuming I was a minor. LOL.

This is where your arm can’t go.

Wow. Ok. So next weekend I’ll be heading to Otakon to run the Cosworx booth. So be sure to come to the booth (#906) in the dealers room for all your wig needs!

2 days after I return from Otakon, I’ll be flying out to Japan for the week. I’m so happy to be going back! Not only will I be back with all my international buds, I get to go shopping for cool clothes that fit me, eat all the yummy food, and this time it looks like I get to go to the Ghibli Museum! I am such a little Miyazaki nerd. I’ll also be going to Comiket and maybe another cosplay event. And then there’s the big Cosplay.com party. I will be missing Rob terribly, but the week should go fast.


And what will I be doing a week after coming back home? Dragon*con! I’ll be going a few days early to visit my half-sister, brother-in-law, and my 2 adorable nephews in South Carolina. Then it’s back to Atlanta for some super fun times!


Of course, this makes it so I won’t be having many costumes. I have a total of one costume planned for D*C due to my time constraints. I’ll be so ready for a good, long nap when August is over. I may have a trip the first week of September, and I need to buy a new car, but we’ll burn those bridges when we come to them. ^__^


Since I’ve been so busy, I haven’t even gotten to the movies. I have yet to see the new Batman (of course, I stand by my belief that the only true Batman is animated Batman), Hellboy 2, or Wanted. I did however insist on seeing Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D when it came out. Brendan Fraser + Dinosarus = awesome. I know, I’m weird.


I’ve also taken to going to the gym on a regular basis instead of just rollerblading and lifting weights at home. I know that no mater how awesome my metabolism or muscle tone is now, it’s better for me to start staying in shape before the decline happens rather than after.


So I’ll try hard to be updating the site, but I may be scarce for a while. I hope everyone is having an awesome summer!
